Jamaica island, Montego Bay

It’s 2023 and you want to start living your ‘maddest’ life.

This list will vary from person to person, however, here are some things you can add to your list when visiting Jamaica’s Tourism Mecca:

1. Harmony Beach Park

Loaded with food, fun, and views, the park has a little something for everyone. The beach is a decent size and usually not as packed as one would think.

After six, the park transforms into a romantic landscape, prime for Bridgerton promenades or family ice-cream getaways. I particularly love the sounds of laughter and dominoes in the air, against a moonlit watery backdrop. Whether it’s day or night, HBP is the ideal place to begin any west-side adventure.

2. Pineapple Beach

Situated on the coastal highway, Pineapple Beach is a tucked-away paradise perfect for a city getaway. Fair warning, the beach is usually open to the public from Thursday to Saturday. Love chill music? Enjoy live music on Thursdays; Want to shake your tail feather? Live DJs on Friday got your style and groove.

I’m partial to Saturday nights as the space comes alive to the sound of Latin Music as the resident choreographer, Ivan(@ivan3_gr), teaches you the sensual moves of various Latin dances.

3. Margaritaville

Margaritaville is a lively beachfront bar and restaurant that offers delicious food and drinks, live music, and water sports.

Visitors can take a dip through the spiral water slide or enjoy thrilling activities like water trampolines and giant slides. It’s the perfect place for those who enjoy a lively nightlife scene.

4. Coral Cliff

Coral Cliff is known for its lively nightlife scene and is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Well known as a premier gaming and entertainment center, Coral Cliff offers a range of games like slots, poker, and roulette, as well as live music and performances.

5. Loung 27/27

Lounge 27/27 is a chic rooftop bar that offers panoramic views of Montego Bay and the Caribbean Sea. Visitors can enjoy handcrafted cocktails and a selection of small plates while listening to music from local DJs. The venue also hosts live performances and events with a new theme every night.  You can take my word for it, but I dare you to try them out for yourself. And when you do? I have the “I told you so” ready.

Reminding you to get out of your comfort zone and walk good!
